What you will be doing
As a Senior/Lead Endpoint Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our enterprise and production environments. You'll dive into various security endpoint capabilities, including Anti-Malware, Security Baselines, Data Loss Prevention, Multi-Factor Authentication, eXtended Detection & Response, File Integrity Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, and Public Key Infrastructure.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $101,303.00 to $188,135.00 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance. What you will be doing
As a Senior/Lead Endpoint Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our enterprise and production environments. You'll dive into various security endpoint capabilities, including Anti-Malware, Security Baselines, Data Loss Prevention, Multi-Factor Authentication, eXtended Detection & Response, File Integrity Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, and Public Key Infrastructure.

- Implementing, maintaining, tuning, and troubleshooting security endpoint solutions to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.
- Championing automation efforts to streamline security processes and drive efficiency.
- Collaborating on technology refresh projects to enhance the overall security posture (e.g. Zero Trust).
- Staying at the forefront of emerging cybersecurity trends and sharing your knowledge with the team.
- Serving as a key liaison for vendor-related matters, contributing to issue troubleshooting, licensing, and evaluating new features.
- Supporting security investigations to Swiftly mitigate potential risks.
- Participating in audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate

- Self-motivated and reliable, with a genuine enthusiasm for tackling cybersecurity challenges head-on.
- An inherent sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Solid administrator experience with Windows & Linux is strongly desired.
- A solid understanding of webservers and databases.
- Experience with Python, (shell) scripting, and Ansible is strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience with Zero Trust architectures and principles is strongly preferred.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and the independence to tackle tasks autonomously.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
