Job Title: Software Engineer 3 (Data Engineer)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid On-Site)
About the Role
In this contingent resource assignment, you will:
- Consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
- Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Spark, Hadoop, and Big Data technologies.
- 3+ years of experience with Spark SQL, Streaming, and DataFrame/Dataset API.
- 3+ years of experience in Spark query tuning and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of Hadoop/Cloud platforms, HDFS, ETL/ELT processes, and Unix shell scripting.
- 3+ years of experience with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- 3+ years of experience integrating SQL & NoSQL databases with Spark (MS SQL Server, MongoDB).
- 2+ years of Agile development experience.
