Job Title: Director, Enterprise Monitoring
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Chicago IL, or Dallas, TX (Onsite from Day 1, Hybrid Model 3 Days Onsite)

This is a very senior-level role. The selected candidate will be brought in as a senior director, with a plan to transition into an executive leadership position shortly after.

Role Overview:
They are looking for a high-level Enterprise Monitoring SME who can define and drive the strategic roadmap for enterprise monitoring. The ideal candidate must:
Possess a strong vision for the future of enterprise monitoring, including tools, practices, and frameworks required to stay ahead of current and emerging technological trends.
Have deep experience in both cloud-based and on-premise enterprise monitoring solutions.
Be knowledgeable about AI-assisted monitoring technologies, and advise on how AI can be integrated into monitoring processes, identifying future needs and guiding technology adoption accordingly.

Leadership & Domain Expertise:
Will lead and manage a team of 8 10 members focused on enterprise monitoring across applications, infrastructure, and dashboarding.
Must have successfully led enterprise monitoring initiatives in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or insurance.
Candidates from non-regulated industries or small companies will not be considered.

Required Technical Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
While not a hands-on role, the individual must be technically savvy, capable of understanding how these tools are applied and evolving in large-scale enterprise environments.

Additional Details:
This role is based in Chicago or Dallas, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week).
They are open to candidates with slightly higher compensation expectations, as long as they bring significant leadership experience in large, complex, and highly regulated environments.
This is not a fit for traditional managers who only focus on budgeting or resource planning without hands-on knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools and strategies.
