Job Title: MicroStrategy / Business Intelligence Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MicroStrategy / Business Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with MicroStrategy, data modeling, and analytics, partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and dossiers
  • Build and maintain semantic layers, metrics, attributes, and hierarchies
  • Develop and optimize cubes, Intelligent Cubes, and OLAP services
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions
  • Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and data accuracy across BI platforms
  • Implement security models, user access, and object-level permissions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, performance, and reporting issues
  • Support BI platform upgrades, patches, and migrations
  • Integrate MicroStrategy with data warehouses, data lakes, and source systems
  • Develop and maintain BI documentation and best practices
  • Collaborate with data engineering and ETL teams for data quality and consistency

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in MicroStrategy development or BI engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Developer, Web, and Architect
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas)
  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and performance tuning
  • Experience building enterprise dashboards and executive-level reporting
  • Knowledge of BI security, performance tuning, and metadata modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • MicroStrategy certifications (MCP, MCE)
  • Experience with Intelligent Cubes, VLDB settings, and performance optimization
  • Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
