Job Title: SAP MM Consultant AMS Support

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract

Experience Required: 10+ years in SAP MM module with AMS support experience


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Consultant with strong expertise in Application Management Services (AMS) to support and optimize the Material Management processes for our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for issue resolution, system enhancements, process improvements, and end-user support in a production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for SAP MM module under the AMS scope, including issue resolution and service requests.

  • Handle incidents, change requests, and minor enhancements within SLA timelines.

  • Collaborate with business users to troubleshoot and resolve procurement, inventory, and logistics-related issues.

  • Configure and maintain SAP MM settings including purchasing, inventory management, valuation, and invoice verification.

  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and proactively recommend long-term fixes.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues.

  • Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and regression testing.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, functional specs, and user manuals.

  • Assist in knowledge transfer and training for key users and support teams.

  • Follow ITIL-based support methodology and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of SAP MM experience with at least 2 years in AMS/production support environment.

  • Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle, purchase orders, GR/IR, inventory management, and movement types.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or other ITSM tools.

  • Understanding of integration points with FI, SD, WM, and PP modules.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Experience in ticket handling tools and SLA management.

  • Ability to document issues and resolutions clearly and concisely.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus.

  • Exposure to IDoc, ALE, or interface troubleshooting.

  • Certification in SAP MM is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and ITIL practices.
