Description
SAIC is seeking a PART TIME Military Operations Specialist.
The Maritime Boss position will work as part of a team to analyze and make decisions for operating vessel(s) in any navigable body of water.
This candidate must understand and act within all maritime rules, regulations and protocols for operating a boat, skiff, or any other vessel in a waterway like a river, lake, and open ocean.
This candidate will also have the ability to transport and deploy vessels into waterways.
This position will also require the skills to acquire chase boats, platform boats (pontoons), trailers to launch boats, and oversee the launching of boats and USVs, as well as the ability to regularly upkeep the maintenance of all vessels.
This candidate also must be able to help the government in the development of accurate test plans and plan logistics with other military departments and programs.

Description

This position will also require the skills to acquire chase boats, platform boats (pontoons), trailers to launch boats, and oversee the launching of boats and USVs, as well as the ability to regularly upkeep the maintenance of all vessels.
This candidate also must be able to help the government in the development of accurate test plans and plan logistics with other military departments and programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understand clearly the maritime rules, regulations, and protocols for operating a boat in all types of waterways.
- Assist in marina-related tasks such as transporting and unloading vessels into the water, securing boats to the docks, and other miscellaneous responsibilities.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks if issues arise.
- Track a monthly scheduled maintenance on all vessels and materials.
- Maintain and clean boats, skiffs and other vessels that go into storage.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience
