Manager, Accounting

Job Description:

• Establish and maintain standard reporting to improve transparency on working capital balances, costs, and profitability.
• Field costing-related questions from the business and auditors (both internal and external), including the analysis of pegging and cost movements.
• Review journal entries, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations related to inventory.
• Improve upon inventory reporting, including cost analysis at the material part level, labour and recalculation of G&A and overhead.
• May lead and review accounting control functions and reporting requirements such as: inventory reconciliations, inventory reserve calculations, cycle count accuracy and completeness tracking, excess capacity analysis and other operational reporting needs.
• Consolidate, analyse, and report inventory balances by product line and perform detailed monthly variance analysis as well as Quarterly Balance Sheet classification (RM, WIP & FG)
• Calculate and record intercompany profit-in-inventory (PII) eliminations monthly to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Strong internal control focus, including updating control documentation and supporting internal and external audits.
• Actively seek opportunities to streamline assigned processes and cross-train with peers.
• Assist in project management activities and ad hoc analysis as required.
• Provide support and collaborate with Procurement and Operations as needed.
