Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in Windows and Linux systems, with a focus on managing and mitigating vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong security knowledge and the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments on Windows and Linux systems to identify and address potential security risks.
Implement configuration changes, patches, and hotfixes to resolve identified vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient and timely resolution of system issues.
Design and deploy advanced security measures to protect enterprise systems.
Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to continuously improve system security.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for server-related incidents and security findings.
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office, Slack, ServiceNow, and Google Apps to enhance productivity and communication.
Develop and apply automation scripts using languages like PowerShell or Python to streamline administrative tasks.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership regarding project status and progress.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in managing and securing both Windows and Linux systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for task automation.
Demonstrated expertise in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in enterprise environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Slack, ServiceNow, and Google Apps.
Knowledge of security controls and best practices for system protection.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration and reporting.
