About the role
We re looking for a hands-on DevOps leader to build the tools, automation, and workflows that help our application teams ship secure, high-quality software across the IS organization. You ll own our CI/CD strategy, stand up real-time system monitoring, partner closely with App Dev and Operations, and mentor a growing DevOps team. You ll also drive our roadmap to mature DevOps practices with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code.
What you ll do

Lead the creation of build/test/deploy tooling and automated workflows that enable teams to promote code safely and quickly.

Build, configure, and maintain frameworks, pipelines, and platforms for optimal software performance.

Design and implement real-time monitoring and alerting for critical systems.

Partner with Application Development and Operations on technical operations and incident response.

Collaborate with DevOps engineers to troubleshoot and improve the health and performance of software systems.

Hire, coach, and mentor DevOps personnel; set goals and grow capabilities.

Define and execute a DevOps maturity roadmap centered on IaC and CaC.

Document standards and contribute to Jira/Confluence for visibility and alignment.
Qualifications -
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor s degree preferred.

7+ years total IT experience, including: 3+ years hands-on software development, 2+ years in DevOps, and 1+ year leading/people management.

Experience in large, heterogeneous enterprise environments.

Proficiency with cloud architectures (AWS or Azure).

Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and Configuration as Code (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Containers and/or Kubernetes in production.

Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Bonus: Healthcare industry experience; Atlassian Jira/Confluence; Unix/Linux administration.
