ServiceNow Catalog Developer - Hybrid Huston TX - Locals preferred
Client: E&Y Houston Department of Police
Catalog Developer to be local so they can attend some meetings and workshops in person as needed but most of their time can also be WFH/remote normally. I do not need someone to come sit in an office all day every day if that helps.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITSM Catalog Developer to design, develop, and maintain Service Catalog solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Service Catalog, Request Management, Flow Designer, and ITSM modules, and will work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and user-friendly service request solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow Service Catalog and Request Catalog solutions.
- Create and maintain Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, and Variable Sets.
- Implement Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Catalog Client Scripts.
- Build and maintain Workflows and Flow Designer flows for request fulfillment.
- Integrate Service Catalog with ITSM modules such as Incident, Request, Change, and Problem.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure catalog solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and governance.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, and assist with production deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve catalog-related issues and defects.
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer artifacts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development.
- Strong experience in Service Catalog / Request Management.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Experience with Flow Designer and legacy Workflows.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Request, Change).
- Experience working with Catalog UI customization.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow ACLs, roles, and security.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with HRSD or CSM Catalogs.
- ServiceNow CSA / CAD / CIS-ITSM certification.
- Experience with integrations (REST APIs).
- Exposure to Service Portal or Employee Center.
- Experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
