Description
We are looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to provide technical assistance to engineers and scientists across various tasks. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in developing procedures, analyzing technical events, and preparing detailed reports. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, this position offers an opportunity to work within defined guidelines and routines while contributing to technical evaluations and corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
Support engineers and scientists by executing technical tasks and troubleshooting issues.
Develop and propose methods and procedures to improve project workflows.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and reports on findings and processes.
Conduct evaluations to identify root causes of technical events and recommend corrective actions.
Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency in technical work.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation of procedures and methods.
Assist in the training of team members on technical processes and best practices.
Utilize decision-making skills to address technical challenges within defined routines.
Perform technical evaluations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of projects.
Contribute to maintaining a well-organized and efficient technical environment.
Requirements
Solid understanding of technical procedures and routines within a defined framework.
Ability to develop and document procedures, methods, and reports.
Strong analytical skills to perform technical evaluations and recommend corrective actions.
Proficiency in collaborating with engineers and scientists to achieve project goals.
Effective communication skills, including technical writing and training capabilities.
Familiarity with decision-making processes within technical disciplines.
Specialized education or training in a relevant technical field is preferred.
