Please review the following job description:

A strategic and innovative Enterprise Architect specializing in the Shadow IT domain, responsible for identifying and assessing unauthorized Information Technology initiatives within the enterprise. This role would execute existing frameworks and lead governance model optimization initiatives that foster innovation while mitigating Shadow IT risks. He/She would collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure only secure and compliant technology solutions are being introduced into the environment and support overall enterprise architecture strategy and transformation objectives. Expertise is risk management, stakeholder engagement, and emerging technology trends will be essential for leading Shadow IT compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify and Assess Shadow IT: Monitor and analyze unauthorized IT solutions adopted by lines of business to understand scope, usage, and potential risks

2. Bridge Business and Technology Teams: Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to align on required activities to remove Shadow IT and enforce compliance of Enterprise Technology Policies and Standards

3. Optimize Governance Frameworks: Enforce Shadow IT standards and procedures, promoting controlled innovation while ensuring compliance and security

4. Risk Management and Mitigation: Evaluate security, compliance, and data risks associated with Shadow IT and implement appropriate mitigation strategies

5. Promote Secure Innovation: Facilitate the adoption of approved, scalable, and secure technologies that meet business needs and comply with Enterprise Architecture governance standards

6. Monitoring and Reporting Tools: Execute processes and tools for continuous monitoring of Shadow IT activities and generate insights for decision- making

7. Roadmaps and Recommendations: Assist in the development of roadmaps and recommendations to optimize upstream systems for technology identification into the environment

8. Educate and Advocate: Raise awareness among lines of business regarding risks and best practices related to Shadow IT, fostering a culture of responsible technology adoption

9. Lead initiatives deemed critical to Enterprise Architecture and Truist's success

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business or IT, or equivalent education and related training
2. Ten years of architecture/design/delivery experience which includes Five years of enterprise architecture experience or Ten years' solution architecture experience in technology and security, and five years of banking/financial business domain
3. Comprehensive experience with various architectural domains such as application, data, infrastructure, security and integration
4. Strong analytical and broad architectural skills
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Strong negotiation/facilitation skills
7. Significant knowledge of current and emerging architecture principles, methodologies and tools
8. Experience as negotiator with vendors for relevant products and services
9. Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with ability to differentiate feasible from academic solutions
10. Demonstrated thought-leadership skills with the ability to translate high-level business planning information into application needs/solutions
11. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
12. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
