SAP Technical Consultant- Active Secret Clearance

Role: SAP Technical Consultant
Location: Onsite 3 days per week at Pentagon or in Navy Yard
Duration: Contract to Hire (would be open to Direct Hire)

Top Requirements

• Functional expert in SAP, ideally have implementation (on front end of implementation project so they must be a SME who can explain how things can be integrated)
• SAP ERP
• Legacy and S4HANA experience
• Building and automating business process controls in HANA - to say this is how HANA can be used with access controls using out of the box hana to maximize.
• High work volume and high velocity environment - tough client
• Bachelors Degree

SAP Certifications

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Investigating and analyzing unmatched transaction errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes and identifying corrective actions
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins
• Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, white papers)
• Documenting error resolution steps and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and process improvement
• Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources to aid in understanding and addressing unmatched transaction issues
• Providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques
• Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines
• Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates
• Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client
• Travel is estimated to be less than 25%

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive, relevant experience
• Active Secret Clearance (or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret) (requires U.S. citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP
• Experience working with DoD s Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform
• Experience collaborating with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), including familiarity with DFAS processes, procedures, and correction processing
• Experience working with DoD collection and disbursing operations
• Ability to independently research data reconciling variances
• Highly proficient skills in MS Excel
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Databricks for data querying and scripting
• CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification
