Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to support a high-profile client. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across the entire Microsoft 365 suite and the ability to design, implement, and administer solutions that ensure compliance, security, and optimal user experience in a regulated environment. This position requires a U.S. citizen with proven ability to travel onsite for the first 2 3 months of the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the full M365 suite, including:
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive for Business
    • Teams Administration
    • Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
    • Security & Compliance Center
  • Manage user identity and access using Azure Active Directory (AAD).
  • Implement and maintain security policies, conditional access, MFA, DLP, retention, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee patching, updates, monitoring, and health of M365 services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the M365 ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure M365 aligns with compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to client stakeholders.
  • Support migrations, upgrades, and integrations with third-party and legacy systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5+ years dedicated to Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Deep expertise in the entire Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Security/Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure AD, conditional access, MFA, and related security features.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel and work onsite with the client for the initial 2 3 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (MS-100, MS-101, SC-300, etc.).
  • Experience with hybrid M365 environments (Exchange Hybrid, AAD Connect).
  • Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, or FISMA.

Prior experience supporting government clients is a strong plus
