Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Communications Engineer II to join our team in Bedford, Ohio. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to design, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient communication across systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and collaborate with professionals to optimize network performance.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient network infrastructures.
Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and wireless systems to support organizational needs.
Monitor and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls to ensure optimal security and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network challenges and deliver user-friendly solutions.
Apply knowledge of VLANs, subnetting, and VoIP to enhance network functionality.
Oversee the operation and control of telecommunications systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Provide technical expertise to support data center infrastructure projects.
Conduct periodic network assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement upgrades.
Travel occasionally, up to 20%, to support network deployments and maintenance at various locations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems, or equivalent experience, strongly preferred.
Cisco certification or active progress toward certification is required.
Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data center infrastructure.
Familiarity with Cisco Communication Manager is a plus.
Strong understanding of VLANs, subnetting, VoIP, and general TCP/IP protocols.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users of varying technical expertise.
Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.
