Job Details
This bank is looking for a Compliance Program Manager to support the execution and oversight of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs across multiple bank charters. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory readiness, managing CRA exam preparation, and aligning compliance efforts with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking compliance, experience working with regulators, and the ability to analyze, document, and present complex information to senior leadership. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating an effective CRA program with select Bank subsidiaries to assure that the organization attains desired ratings. Ensures on-going effectiveness of the CRA program by overseeing select Banks' CRA performance regularly. Staying abreast of CRA rule changes and industry trends in order to effectively guide select Banks' CRA performance to achieve desired ratings.

Core responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate Charter CRA Committee Meetings including preparation of meeting materials and leading discussion during the meeting.
- Manage CRA Activity Data Integrity including CRA donations, CRA investments, CRA service hours, and Community Development Loans.
- Coordinate the completion of CRA Self-Assessment and Performance Context in preparation for the CRA exam.
- Track and analyze Bank CRA Data - Identify and communicate CRA deficiencies and potential problems to management and staff; work with line management in developing and implementing corrective action(s) to resolve identified problems.
- Train bank employees on CRA basics and answer ongoing CRA related questions as they arise.
- Manage Bank CRA initiatives and efforts.
- Coordinate Exam process with Bank and examiners.
- Contribute to corporate CRA projects and initiatives.
- Maintain a competent level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various laws, regulations and rulings governing CRA activities.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of CRA exams across multiple charters (5-6 annually).
- Review logs, hours, and documentation to identify gaps or issues in CRA performance.
- Draft clear, concise, and examiner-ready documentation and reports.
- Serve as a liaison with regulators during CRA exams and represent the bank in a polished, professional manner.
- Collaborate with local teams to coach and prepare them for exam readiness.
- Work cross-functionally with CRA data analytics and program management teams.
- Ensure alignment of CRA activities with broader compliance and business strategies.
- Maintain a pulse on regulatory changes and best practices in CRA compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 Years of related experience
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in a compliance program/project management position at a financial institution. Knowledge of CRA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently interface and present to board members/c-suite executives
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations for the program based on the data
- Proven experience in CRA compliance within a bank or regulatory agency.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and how compliance integrates across departments.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills; able to present to senior leadership and regulators.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or issues.
- Experience working in a multi-charter or community banking environment is highly preferred.
