Role: SAP GRC Consultant (5380)
Start Date: August 11th, 2025
Duration: 12 months, possible extension
Location: Remote (M-Th 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (PST) hours), some onsite possible, hours subject to change
Description:
The SAP System is composed of both SAP Financials (FI) and SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) applications, currently operating under Business Suite on HANA, Enterprise Core Component (ECC) 6.0, EP8. The Financials modules include FM, FI, GM, GL, CO, AP, AR, IM, WO/MAM, Purchasing, Project Systems, and Asset Management. The HCM modules include OM, PA, Benefits, Time, Payroll, Success Factors, ESS, MSS and EH&S. The Time module is integrated with Kronos. The SAP System also includes CRM, BW 4/HANA, BO, PI, Portal/Fiori Gateway, GRC, and Solution Manager. The system provides services to multiple agencies that have approximately 17,000 employees.
SCOPE OF WORK
The organization is seeking to augment the current GRC team with SAP consulting services for maintenance support, project research, development, enhancement, configuration, design, build, testing and deployment within the GRC Module for HCM, Financials/Logistics, and Solution Manager. Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Emergency Access Management (EAM), and User Access Review (UAR) are currently active in the system.
Modules in scope include:
HCM: OM, PA, BN, PY, EH&S, TM, SuccessFactors Learning, ESS, MSS including Portal, Gateway and Fiori Applications
Financials and Logistics: FI, CO, AP, AR, AA, FM, PS, MM, IM, WO, GM, OpenText Invoice Management and Workflow
SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Analytics Cloud
SAP Solution Manager: Test Plan/Pkg., CBTA, BPCA, CCM and SP updates
SAP GRCFND_A V1200 GRC Foundation ABAP (SAPK-V1223INGRCFNDA)
Example of duties include:
Providing adequate deliverable documentation including but not limited to technical specs and test scripts
Assisting staff in developing new enhancements and maintaining existing custom enhancements to SAP modules
Assisting in developing and executing test strategies
Knowledge transfer through mentoring and training team members throughout the engagement to allow for independent support
Implementing and supporting new SAP security requirements and development
Participating in defining problems and/or developing solutions
Performing required testing of GRC system changes or new development prior to transport into Quality Assurance environment
Updating appropriate system and user documentation
Security development for GRC
Supporting Support Pack implementations and upgrades
Assisting in support and troubleshooting of GRC due to support pack upgrades and the application of SAP required notes
Reviewing current state and recommending best practice policies and procedures for GRC
Augmenting the ERP security and GRC staff with consultant support using established protocols and procedures, agreed upon timeframes, and agreed upon design
A crucial goal of the services contract is to provide the ERP security and GRC staff with the ability to become and maintain self-sufficiency
The targeted start date is August 11th, 2025.
The ideal candidate(s) would have the following Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Hands-on experience in SAP Security and Authorization Concepts
Hands-on experience with SAP GRC Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Emergency Access Management (EAM), and User Access Review (UAR)
Hands-on experience in role building for GRC
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to GRC
Hands-on experience in implementing and testing required SAP notes
In-depth understanding of SoD (Segregation of Duties) as it relates to business/financial process and security access
Experience working with BASIS and ABAP developers on security BASIS components and ABAP custom programming for GRC processes
Extensive experience writing security/GRC documentation, work instructions, and technical/functional specifications
Ability to create robust documentation for future reference and maintainability
Ability to work with limited direction
Strong teamwork and customer support focus
Familiarity with testing strategies, technical monitoring, and incident management
Analytical, results-driven, and solution-oriented approach
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and listening
Excellent spoken and written English
SAP project management skills and experience following SAP Best Practices
Ability to cross-train and transfer knowledge to support teams
Effective collaboration and engagement with team members
Strong planning and organizational skills
Good facilitation skills
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience preferred
Proven SAP GRC background, with at least three years experience (5 years preferred) in security/GRC implementation and support functionality
3 years experience (5 years preferred) in troubleshooting and researching SAP GRC solutions for both new development and reported issues for on-prem (non-S/4)
