Senior Associate, Full-Stack Engineer

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Wealth Services Engineer team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ -HYBRID (4 days a week)

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack web applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code (frontend + backend)
  • Create and consume RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Implement responsive UI components using modern front-end frameworks
  • Integrate with databases, third-party services, and cloud platforms
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and agile development processes (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Proficiency in Front-End Technologies:

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript

React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Proficiency in Back-End Technologies:

Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), Java (Spring), or .NET

RESTful API and/or GraphQL design and implementation
  • Database Experience:

PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases
  • DevOps/Tools:

Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Testing Frameworks:

Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or similar for front/back-end testing
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, data structures, and security best practices

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $136,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
