Senior Java Engineer / Hybrid in Chicago / Industrial Machinery Manufacturing

We are seeking experienced Java Engineers to join an innovative team building the next generation of industrial automation and manless yard operations. This Chicago company is launching an all-new, highly available, and secure solution that will revolutionize logistics, steel mills, and warehouse operations-and they need top engineers to make it happen.

You'll be joining a tight-knit team of engineers, working in a hybrid setup in Chicago to develop scalable software that powers mission-critical automation. Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with a strong background in Spring Boot
• Expertise in secure software development, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OpenID Connect
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using JUnit or TestNG
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Git, Gradle) and cloud platforms
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working in industrial automation, logistics, or IoT-driven environments
