Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise data architecture strategies aligned with business and IT goals.
- Define and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for operational and analytical systems.
- Develop and enforce data governance, data quality, and metadata management standards.
- Architect and oversee data integration and ETL/ELT processes across multiple systems.
- Design scalable data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure proper data flow and usage.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) to build and optimize modern data architectures.
- Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and performance for analytics and reporting needs.
- Support machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics initiatives through robust data foundation design.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling tools (Erwin, PowerDesigner, etc.), and ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, dbt, etc.).
- Expertise in one or more cloud data platforms:
- AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3)
- Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake)
- Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
- Experience designing data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Solid understanding of data governance, MDM (Master Data Management), and data cataloging concepts.
- Familiarity with NoSQL and distributed databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Experience integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
