Job Title: Senior ADA Compliance Business Analyst

Job Description:
  • The Accessibility Specialist is responsible for ensuring digital content, documents, and web resources meet accessibility standards.
  • This role involves remediating PDF documents, testing content for compliance, coordinating accommodations, and collaborating with various teams to maintain accessibility across all platforms.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Remediate PDF documents to be compatible with modern screen readers by editing document tab order, header tags, help text, form field descriptions, and color/text contrast.
  • Test content before publication to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements.
  • Coordinate with staff to provide accommodations for individuals requiring assistance in completing processes or obtaining information in alternate formats.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager and other team members to ensure web content meets accessibility standards.
Experience:
  • Professional experience in an accessibility coordination role is preferred.
  • Experience using accessibility testing tools such as JAWS or SiteImprove is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure digital content and documents meet accessibility standards.
  • Remediate and edit PDF forms and documents for screen reader compatibility.
  • Test content for WCAG compliance before publication.
  • Provide accommodations and support to individuals requiring alternate formats.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments to maintain accessibility standards.
  • Produce high-quality work with attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Learn new programs and workflows effectively to work independently.
Skills:
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate websites and operating systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply WCAG requirements to digital content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office, including creating spreadsheets and documents.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, including creating and editing PDF forms and documents.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate work flow, prioritize tasks, and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
Qualification And Education:
  • Basic knowledge of HTML is desired.
  • Experience editing forms in Adobe AEM Designer is preferred.
  • Certification or degree in Web Design or Graphic Design is optional.
