Senior DevOps Engineer
Work Location - Plano TX 75075 (3 to 5 days onsite)
Interview will be onsite
Positions Requested - 1
Hours per Day - 8
Hours per Week - 40
Total Hours - 1-year contract initially

Project - Platform AI Automation implementations

Must go into the office for the 1st week for onboarding & during PI planning that occurs every 3 months

Job Description:
  • Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automation.
  • You will play a crucial role in streamlining our development and deployment processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance automation and streamline deployments.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks.
  • Implement and manage version control, branching strategies, and release workflows using GitHub.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and champion automation across the organization.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and reliability standards are met across the build and release processes.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation themes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in the DevOps ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8 plus years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions to design and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing automation solutions for infrastructure and deployment.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, branching strategies, and code management using GitHub.
  • Familiarity with automation themes and tools to drive efficiency in development and deployment workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience Working on Cloud Environments (e.g., Azure)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Understanding of security best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding Modern CI/CD Tooling (Jenkins, ArgoCD, ADO, Helm, GitHub Actions)
  • Understanding of Kubernetes Monitoring and Alerting (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with Platform Automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Agentic AI Tooling)
  • Understanding of Microservices Architecture and Design Patterns
  • Experience with Testing Tools (JMeter, RestAssured, Copilot Studio, Power Automate)
  • Experience Working in a Linux Environment

Pay Range: $60 - $65

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
