Quality Program Manager

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly experienced Quality Program Manager to lead the end-to-end quality assurance portfolio for our client in the banking domain. This role is onsite and client-facing, requiring strong program governance skills and hands-on experience in managing quality for both in-house and third-party platforms, including test management and automation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry, a strong understanding of test automation frameworks, and proven stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the quality governance for multiple platforms and products (in-house and third-party).
- Develop and execute comprehensive quality strategy aligned with business and IT goals.
- Oversee the entire test lifecycle: planning, execution, automation, and reporting.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of automation frameworks.
- Manage relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to drive quality from inception.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting product quality and delivery timelines.
- Provide leadership and direction to distributed QA teams and vendors.
- Track and report quality metrics, KPIs, and overall test coverage regularly to the client.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, tools, and team capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in QA/Test Management, with at least 3 years in a program management role.
- Prior experience in managing large-scale banking or financial domain projects is mandatory.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, performance, UAT, etc.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle vendor coordination, budget tracking, and program-level reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in PMP, CSM, or SAFe Agile.
- Experience in leading hybrid delivery teams (onshore-offshore).
