Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with deep expertise in MicroStrategy and experience in Tableau to join our fully remote Business Intelligence team. This role requires a reliable, self-driven professional with excellent communication skills who thrives in a collaborative virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using MicroStrategy, following industry best practices and internal standards.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Collaborate with data teams to write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data efficiently.
- Support and enhance existing MicroStrategy reports and architecture to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Leverage Tableau as a secondary visualization tool for cross-platform reporting needs.
- Ensure consistent, accurate, and meaningful visual storytelling aligned with business goals.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in a remote work environment with both technical and non-technical team members.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall IT experience in data or analytics-focused roles.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing BI solutions using MicroStrategy, including dashboard development and advanced data visualization.
- Strong understanding of MicroStrategy best practices, schema objects, and report design principles.
- Solid SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and performance tuning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in remote or distributed work environments.
- Strong reliability, accountability, and self-motivation in independent work settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with Tableau and familiarity with its ecosystem and capabilities.
- Experience working in large enterprise or complex corporate environments.
- Retail industry experience or familiarity with retail analytics use cases.
