Job Title: Java Architect
Location: 100% remote opportunity
Employment Type: [Full-time / Contract]
Job Description:
- We are seeking a Java Architect with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and leading enterprise-level solutions.
- The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can balance architecture, design, and active development while guiding teams toward building scalable and reliable systems on AWS.
- This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working across design and implementation phases, reviewing code, and ensuring that software solutions align with architectural best practices and release goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance systems using Java and related frameworks.
- Stay hands-on with coding and development to ensure quality and maintain technical depth.
- Design and build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
- Review and validate design patterns, system components, and code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business objectives.
- Drive architectural decisions, technology strategy, and roadmap for ongoing product evolution.
- Mentor and guide development teams, promoting engineering excellence and best practices.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in an Architect or Lead role.
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principles.
- Proven experience with Java design patterns, system design, and code review.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on AWS.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud-native principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have (Secondary Skills):
- Experience with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular, React) for full-stack awareness.
