Genesis10 is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 9-month contract position with a leading client located in San Fernando, CA. This role is 100% onsite.

Compensation: $50.00 per hour.

Summary:

Genesis10 is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Department in San Fernando, California. This role supports the Director of Quality and is responsible for planning and conducting activities related to the assurance of product and process quality in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $50.00/ per hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration to ensure the quality of assigned products or components.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with internal and vendor quality requirements.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate process performance and changes.
  • Review all purchased products and components and provide recommendations regarding vendor acceptance and future procurement.
  • Document all data obtained during quality assurance activities according to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance reviews.
  • Communicate significant issues and provide process improvement recommendations to management.
  • Prepare and present technical and program reports summarizing quality assurance involvement and results.
  • Direct technical and administrative staff engaged in quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize complex data, research information, and design workflows and procedures.
  • Design & Attention to Detail: Generates creative solutions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Project Management: Develops and coordinates project plans, manages team activities, and ensures timely completion.
  • Leadership: Includes staff in planning and decision-making, provides performance feedback, and fosters quality focus in others.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Business Acumen: Understands business implications of decisions, profitability, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Cost Consciousness: Works within budgets and implements cost-saving measures.

  • Safety & Security: Observes safety procedures, reports hazards, and properly uses equipment and materials.
  • Physical Demands & Work Environment: Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate; occasionally required to sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office environment, with moderate noise levels and frequent use of electronic equipment.
  • May occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, or loud noise during visits to operations areas.
  • Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no corp-to-corp).
