Aloha! One of Hawaii's local integrators is seeking a technical leader to step into a CIO-as-a-Service role, acting as a strategic advisor to our clients. He/she will be the #2to the current CIO, and play a critical role in delivering high-impact technology advisory services.
This is a client-facing, consultative role where he/she will help organizations build and execute IT strategies, implement governance frameworks, and navigate cybersecurity and GRC challenges.
Professional Summary
Seeking an Experienced Cybersecurity and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional with a strong record of improving security controls, achieving regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, and delivering audit readiness across various sectors including healthcare, fintech, and enterprise IT. The individual should be skilled in leading vulnerability management programs, implementing security frameworks, and deploying cloud and on-premises controls. Should have deep expertise in managing third-party risk, conducting penetration tests, and integrating GRC automation tools.
Additional Duties
  • Serve as a fractional CIO for multiple clients, providing strategic IT leadership
  • Develop and implement IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks
  • Advise on digital transformation, cloud strategy, and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to align IT with business goals
  • Support business development and client onboarding as needed

  • Risk & Compliance: HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53/800-171, NIST CSF
  • Cybersecurity: Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management, Threat Detection, Incident Response
  • Governance & Audit: Audit Readiness, GRC Tools (AuditBoard, Drata, Vanta, Archer), ServiceNow
  • Cloud Security: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform - IAM & Access Controls
  • Scripting & Tools: Python, PowerShell, SQL, Nessus, Cloud-native security tools

Top Skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT leadership roles (Manager level or above)
  • Strong background in Cybersecurity and GRC
  • Consulting experience preferred (but not required)
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships
  • Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of modern IT ecosystems

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
