Role Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our mobile development team and help shape the future of our Android applications. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build performant, reliable, and user-friendly experiences that serve patients, providers, and care teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications using Kotlin
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and deliver new health-focused features
  • Ensure app performance, security, and accessibility meet industry standards
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and fix production issues across the mobile stack
  • Write clean, maintainable code with thorough testing and documentation
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Stay current with Android development trends and evolving healthcare requirements

Tech Stack:
  • Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK
  • Coroutines, Flow, Room, Retrofit
  • MVVM architecture, Hilt/Dagger
  • Firebase, Crashlytics, Google Play Services
  • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar)
  • RESTful APIs, FHIR/HL7 familiarity (preferred)

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android app architecture
  • Experience with production apps deployed via the Google Play Store
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant mobile development practices
  • Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose in a production setting
  • Familiarity with health data standards like FHIR, HL7, or SMART on FHIR
  • Experience integrating with wearable or IoT health devices
  • Background working in digital health, wellness, or telemedicine
