Job Title: Application Developer (Hybrid - Austin, TX)
Location: Austin, TX (40% Onsite / 60% Remote)
Duration: 3+ Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with a strong background in Visual Basic (VB), Java, and Microsoft SQL Server to help ensure mission-critical agency services remain fully operational. This hybrid role requires candidates who live in the Austin area and are able to work onsite approximately 60% of the time.

Position Overview:
As an Application Developer, you will support and maintain internal agency applications by performing code analysis, fixing data integrity issues, and delivering development solutions where needed. You will work closely with business users and IT teams to troubleshoot problems, implement fixes, and provide documentation for both new and existing software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support for business-critical applications, ensuring service continuity

  • Analyze and correct issues in existing applications, or develop new solutions as needed

  • Resolve data processing errors and ensure accuracy of internal data transactions

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand software issues and functionality gaps

  • Write clear support documentation and maintain version control of software changes

  • Maintain and enhance databases and SQL queries for reporting and application efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with Visual Basic (VB) development

  • 8+ years of experience in Java application development

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query and database development
