Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Space Policy & Deterrence

Develop and refine space policy frameworks aligned with national security goals

Lead initiatives to strengthen space deterrence posture through resilient architectures and strategic messaging

Advise leadership on emerging threats, escalation management, and strategic positioning in the space domain

Operational Planning & Multi-Domain Integration

Support campaign-level planning and mission design for space operations

Integrate space effects into joint and interagency operational plans across air, land, sea, cyber, and space domains

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless multi-domain coordination and interoperability

Defense Policy Alignment & Stakeholder Engagement

Align space initiatives with broader defense acquisition, budgeting, and strategic priorities

Provide policy guidance to senior decision-makers and contribute to long-term capability development

Monitor legislative and executive developments impacting space operations and funding

Satellite Manufacturing & Launch Services Oversight

Evaluate satellite production pipelines for mission readiness, scalability, and resilience

Coordinate with commercial and government launch providers to ensure timely and secure deployment

Develop contingency plans for launch delays, failures, or adversarial interference

Space-Based ISR & C2 Architecture Development

Integrate space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities into operational environments

Guide the design and implementation of Command and Control (C2) architectures for space missions

Ensure ISR and C2 systems support real-time decision-making, targeting, and situational awareness

Qualifications

Required:

10+ years of experience in space operations, defense strategy, or policy development

Expertise in space deterrence, operational planning, and multi-domain integration

Strong understanding of satellite systems, launch services, and ISR technologies

Experience with C2 architecture and effects-based planning

Secret Clearance

Excellent communication, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred:

Advanced degree in Space Policy, Engineering, National Security, or related field

Prior experience supporting U.S. military, defense agencies, or aerospace contractors

Familiarity with commercial space providers and emerging technologies
