Job Description:
Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a 4-month contract engagement, with the potential for extension. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to the design and implementation of complex application software that supports business strategy, improves processes, and drives organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, document, and test complex programs in accordance with Talent Groups software development standards and methodology.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, update, and test existing software to ensure continued performance and value for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into detailed program design documents.
• Provide regular status updates, manage priorities effectively, and deliver high-quality work within established timelines.
• Support modernization initiatives, including the migration of legacy APIs from .NET Framework 4.6.1 to .NET 8.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to develop software applications and APIs using Visual Studio, .NET Framework 4.6.1, .NET 8, and Entity Framework.
• Strong experience writing testable code and developing unit and integration tests.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps Services and GIT, including branching, merging, and committing code, as well as YAML-based build and release pipelines.
• Experience implementing OpenTelemetry in .NET applications.
• Working knowledge of Oracle as a database repository.
