We are actively hiring for a Senior Database Management Specialist to support a long-term project based in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Informatica, and AWS environments, with a deep understanding of database design, optimization, and cloud infrastructure.

Must Have Skills

  • 6+ years in enterprise database design and development.
  • 4+ years hands-on with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Informatica.
  • 4+ years experience with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, JIRA, GIT.
  • 4+ years supporting document management systems.
  • 4+ years working in AWS Cloud (EC2, AMI, CI/CD).
  • Strong SQL expertise including stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Experience with high availability, backup/recovery, and replication.
  • Experience with data migration and large-volume environments.
  • Knowledge of database architecture normalization, indexing, partitioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain complex enterprise databases and data lakes.
  • Support cloud-based infrastructure and automation (AWS).
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL/NoSQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Implement ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Perform PostgreSQL and MongoDB maintenance, upgrades, and replication.
  • Monitor production DB activities, CPU/memory/disk usage, and batch jobs.
  • Perform backup/recovery, security hardening, and disaster recovery tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support UAT/load testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years supporting federal/state health or human services systems.
  • Experience with EDI transactions (834, 820, 270/271, etc.).
  • 4+ years in AWS-hosted environments with PostgreSQL/MongoDB optimization.
  • Familiar with Corticon and healthcare rules engines.
  • BI Tools: Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense.
  • Understanding of HIX/ACA systems and data governance.
