Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking for a Remote Sr. Business Analyst. This will be a 6 month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Product Analysis and Development: Evaluate and analyze current life and health insurance products, identifying areas for improvement and innovation. Collaborate with product managers to develop and enhance insurance offerings.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. Translate these requirements into detailed functional specifications for technical teams.
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes. Use this information to inform product development and business strategies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for business analysis activities.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes. Utilize data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in project teams to ensure successful delivery of business initiatives. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders. Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and objectives.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
**Qualifications:**
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on life and health insurance products. Demonstrated experience in product development and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., MS Excel, SQL, JIRA, Tableau). Strong understanding of data analytics and reporting.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of life and health insurance products, underwriting processes, claims management, and regulatory compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
