Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Palo Alto Cloud Firewall Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network security environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFWs, Prisma Access, and GlobalProtect VPN, along with a solid foundation in network security engineering and cloud-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols

  • Perform packet-level analysis for troubleshooting and design validation

  • Design and manage firewall security rules and NAT rules

  • Review firewall logs and traffic flows using observability platforms

    • Dashboard creation experience is a plus

  • Implement and manage Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDS/IPS)

  • Handle customer firewall rule additions, modifications, and changes

  • Remediate non-compliant firewall rules

  • Execute firewall rule migrations

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in network security and firewall technologies

  • Design, build, migrate, and support enterprise VPN solutions

    • Desktop: Windows, macOS

    • Mobile: iOS, Android

    • SASE-based solutions

  • Support Proof of Concept (POC) testing and deployment of security solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong background in network security engineering

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Palo Alto Firewall engineering experience

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Palo Alto NGFWs

    • Prisma Access (Cloud)

    • GlobalProtect VPN

  • Experience managing, designing, implementing, and deploying Palo Alto solutions

  • Enterprise experience with VPN technologies

    • Palo Alto

    • F5 BIG-IP APM

  • Solid understanding of:

    • IPSec tunnels & encryption

    • TCP/IP, OSI model, IPv6

    • VPCs, VRFs

    • Cloud-based network security architectures

    • VPN deployment strategies & migrations

    • Proxies, Load Balancers, DNS / Route53

  • At least one Palo Alto Networks certification (PCNSE / PCNSA preferred)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Python or Shell scripting

  • Ansible

  • Terraform

  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms
