Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Maintenance Electrician for our client based out of Kings Mountain, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension or conversion; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Maintenance Electrician for our client based out of Kings Mountain, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension or conversion; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Handle electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs for industrial equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair components on automated and manual production equipment.
- Troubleshoot facility equipment issues, including transformers, motors, and light fixtures, and replace damaged components and wiring.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to address malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
- Replace faulty machine equipment such as relays, switches, positioning devices, and controls.
- Service and repair electric motors.
- Operate automated equipment using HMI, remote control, teach pendant, and other control devices for troubleshooting and repair verification.
- Assist in planning and installing building wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machines and equipment.
- Install conduit and wiring for new machinery and equipment, including robotics and conveyance systems.
- Terminate wiring for power supply, interconnecting cables, data/communications cables, and other connections.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn, grow, be flexible, and work with a sense of urgency.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical school or post-high school training preferred.
- 5 years of documented industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in working with voltages up to 600 VAC, including 480 VAC and 277 VAC.
- Knowledge and experience with 12 VAC and 24 VDC controls.
- Familiarity with PLC applications such as Rockwell RSLogix and Siemens software.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of motor controls, drives, and other motion control devices.
- Experience with multi-axis robots and controllers from ABB.
- Proficient in using laptop computers and Microsoft applications.
- Knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code (NEC) practices and applications.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP/SMP) and plant safety guidelines.
- Proficient in problem-solving tools, such as root cause analysis.
