THE WORK
Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products. Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware in the loop systems. Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements. Reviews include requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.
Manages the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support.
Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.

Basic Qualifications

Current ship
Ability to receive Secret security clearance
STEM Undergrad degree (Biology, Engineering, Nursing, Computer Science, or other related field)
Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards
Knowledge of software development life cycle models
Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements
Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers

Desired skills

Knowledge of configuration management and control tools
Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Integration & Test)
Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development
Experience with ClearQuest, DOORS, VersionOne (Agility), and/or other Configuration Management tools
Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Experience with code collaborator tools
Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
Lean/Six Sigma Green belt
ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
Knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI requirements

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
