Project Manager

About the Role
Hansen Talent Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PMP) to support high-priority initiatives with a large agency in Columbia, SC. This role will oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with agency goals, managing vendors and stakeholders, and driving timely, high-quality delivery.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, change-oriented environments.

What you'll do:

• Lead multiple complex IT projects from initiation through implementation.

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

• Oversee project risks and issues, identifying triggers and developing mitigation strategies.

• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.

• Coordinate with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to achieve project goals.

• Prepare and present project status updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain key project management documentation and artifacts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active PMP certification required.

• Proven success managing IT projects, ideally within healthcare or insurance environments.

• Strong project planning experience including resource allocation and technical effort estimation.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to unite diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency with SharePoint, MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid or Healthcare Delivery Systems.

• Familiarity with risk management and performance metrics in IT project delivery.
