Teksystems has a client in the Low County portion of South Carolina that needs to add a Software Asset Manager. The role is slated to start as a contract and has the potential of extensions and conversion. The role is 100% remote but must EST hours.
The is seeking an individual who is detail-oriented in data analysis, with solid experience in Power BI and strong customer service skills.
This role is a mix of data analysis responsibilities, such as analyzing pricing models, license agreements, and internal reports, and project management responsibilities, such as helping keep renewals on track. This individual will NOT run or own the renewals or need to solution or engineer any data. Instead, they will be responsible for presenting facts to help present business cases.
A majority of their work will be doing the actual research, prep, and analysis for the renewals instead of engaging with the software company and vendor management. They will have intake from a ServiceNow queue to help them with research.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain Licensing Data: Ensure accurate software license records for budgeting, compliance, inventory, contracts, and cost management.
- License Management: Collaborate with software owners on license true-ups, reconciliations, and audit support, including dispute resolution and audit defense.
- Cost Optimization: Identify savings through license re-harvesting and optimization.
- Stakeholder Support: Respond to information requests from various internal stakeholders.
- Stay Informed: Keep up with changes in software license models and vendor offerings.
- Risk & Cost Reduction: Proactively assess and recommend improvements to reduce risk and optimize the software portfolio.
- Security Collaboration: Support security initiatives by identifying required software, tracking deployments, and flagging systems needing updates or patches.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
