What's the Job?
- Install, configure, customize, and support software components that run on the IBM Z platform.
- Debug system software issues using specialized debugging tools to identify component failures.
- Collaborate directly with software vendors to resolve configuration errors and software product-related issues.
- Utilize JCL, SMP/E, JES2, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF proficiently in daily tasks.
- Engage in capacity planning, performance tuning, and management of EMC storage solutions.
What's Needed?
- 10+ years of engineering experience with IBM Z Mainframe systems.
- Proficiency in z/System Hardware and z/OS Operating System.
- Experience with HMC, IOCP/HCD, System & User Catalogs, and WLM.
- Knowledge of Parallel Sysplex and performance tuning techniques.
- Background in management, monitoring, and automation of system operations.
