The role is part of a strategic initiative, with the potential to expand into a broader Principal Engineering team based on success.
Responsibilities:

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience: 10+ years of professional software development experience
* Experience in a Principal Engineer position exerting technical influence
* Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and influence technical direction at the organizational level
* Architecture & Design: Deep expertise in system architecture, performance, scalability, and enterprise-grade engineering practices
* Hands-On Expertise: Proficiency in at least two of the following: Java, .NET, SQL, AWS, Azure, microservices
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution, and to align technical decisions with business goals
* Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy systems and standardizing diverse tech stacks; Familiarity with PowerBuilder, Oracle, or similar legacy technologies is a plus
