Help Desk Analyst
Location: In-Person - On-Site
Job Type: Full-time | 8-hour shift | Monday Friday
Travel: Up to 30% for project-based activities

Odyssey Information Services is seeking a Help Desk Analyst to support a cutting-edge IT environment in the aerospace and defense industry. In this role, you’ll provide end-user support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure technology systems run smoothly and securely.

Key Objectives
  • Deliver timely, professional IT support to end users

  • Troubleshoot desktop, software, and network issues

  • Ensure proper documentation and knowledge base updates

  • Assist with system updates, patches, and project rollouts


Core Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming IT support tickets and calls

  • Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and connectivity issues

  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff as needed

  • Support installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration tasks

  • Maintain and monitor printers, workstations, and other peripherals

  • Adjust user settings and access permissions

  • Contribute to internal documentation and process improvements

  • Participate in local and enterprise-wide IT initiatives


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years in a help desk or technical support role

  • Strong knowledge of desktop and network troubleshooting

  • Proficient with hardware (PCs, printers, peripherals)

  • Familiar with:

    • Windows Server environments

    • Microsoft O365 and Azure AD

    • Firewall technologies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in IT or related field


Preferred Experience
  • VPN, MFA, and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, etc.)

  • Active Directory, infrastructure hardware, and VOIP phone systems

  • Security systems, video surveillance, or badge access controls

  • Familiarity with CMMC and NIST standards is a plus

  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) preferred


Work Conditions & Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift moderate-weight equipment

  • Comfortable working indoors/outdoors and traveling between work sites

  • Potential exposure to mechanical environments or electrical systems

  • Up to 30% travel required during project implementations
