Role : Azure Data Engineer

Location : Hybrid Onsite Seatle WA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Data Lake technologies.
  • Implement ETL/ELT solutions to ingest, clean, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Work with Azure Data Services including:
    • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure Blob Storage
  • Write efficient, scalable PySpark scripts for data processing.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot Databricks notebooks and Spark jobs.
  • Develop and maintain delta lake architectures and medallion (bronze, silver, gold) layer designs.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and usability.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance in line with enterprise standards.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Azure data engineering
  • Strong expertise in PySpark and Apache Spark for big data processing
  • Proficiency in Azure Databricks development and administration
  • Solid understanding of Delta Lake, partitioning, schema evolution, and data versioning
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline orchestration
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and validation
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or other version control systems
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts
