Network Email Security Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Network Email Security Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Banking clients in Auburn Hills, MI or Frisco, TX. Hybrid schedule 2x weekly onsite

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's network infrastructure, including email systems, to ensure reliable communication and data exchange.
• This role involves a combination of technical expertise in networking, security, and email systems, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Skills :

• Email System Management:

Managing and troubleshooting email security systems, ensuring email deliverability, and implementing security measures to protect against spam and malware. Experience with email servers (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace) and email security solutions.

• Network Security:

Implementing and maintaining security protocols, proxies, and intrusion detection systems to protect the network from cyber threats. Knowledge of WAF, DDoS, IDS\IPS, Proxy systems, and security best practices. Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP).

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving network and email-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

• Monitoring and Maintenance:

Monitoring network performance, conducting regular maintenance, and implementing upgrades to ensure optimal performance and availability.
