EPIC Orders/ClinDoc/Stork Consultant:
An EPIC Orders/ClinDoc/Stork job focuses on implementing, configuring, and supporting EPIC applications within a healthcare organization. These applications are used for clinical documentation, patient orders, and maternity care. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical workflows, EPIC system functionality, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize system usage and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation and Configuration:
- Setting up and configuring EPIC applications like ClinDoc and Stork.
- Ensuring the system is aligned with organizational needs and workflows.
- Workflow Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyzing clinical and administrative workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with end-users to understand their needs and translate them into system configurations.
- Training and Support:
- Providing training to end-users on how to utilize the EPIC system effectively.
- Supporting end-users with any technical issues or questions.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Performing system maintenance, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
- Participating in disaster recovery and backup operations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Working with clinical and IT teams to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation and use of EPIC.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and end-users.
- Data Management:
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Participating in data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep Understanding of EPIC:
- Experience with EPIC Orders, ClinDoc, and Stork applications.
- Certification in EPIC, especially in related modules.
- Clinical Knowledge:
- Understanding of clinical workflows and processes.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is often required.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze workflows, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
