Position Overview
We are hiring experienced Critical Environment Team Leads to manage the daily operations and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure in data centers. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of systems such as power, cooling, and environmental controls. You'll lead a team of technicians and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain high availability and performance.

Position Overview
We are hiring experienced Critical Environment Team Leads to manage the daily operations and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure in data centers. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of systems such as power, cooling, and environmental controls. You'll lead a team of technicians and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Minimize disruptions during system changes or outages.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor CE technicians.
- Develop shift schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Enforce safety, training, and operational standards.
Infrastructure Support
- Assist with server installations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Support disaster recovery testing and emergency readiness.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate logs of system performance, incidents, and maintenance.
- Provide timely updates to management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in technical fields (e.g., electrical, controls, data center, automotive).
- Certifications: OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, refineries).
- Availability: Flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varied work weeks.
- Software: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or related field.
- EPA Refrigerant License.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (EPMS), HVAC, UPS, generators, and CRAH systems.
- Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and respond to emergencies.
Top Skills
- 3+ years managing critical infrastructure in commercial data centers.
- Proven leadership of technician teams monitoring mechanical infrastructure.
- Refrigerant license.
