Job Title: Data Analyst / Data Governance Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ



Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Quality & Data Governance Analyst with strong experience in data management, data controls, and enterprise data policies. The ideal candidate will support data quality remediation, regulatory reporting, and governance initiatives while ensuring compliance with enterprise data standards.



Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Governance concepts (metadata, lineage, data quality, stewardship, retention, protection, sharing).

  • 2-5 years of hands-on Data Quality Management experience.

  • Intermediate-level competency in SQL and Python (or equivalent programming languages).

  • Solid familiarity with data architecture and data modeling concepts.

  • 2-5 years working in Agile or SAFe environments.




Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify data-related risks and controls across key business processes, including:

    • Record Retention

    • Data Quality

    • Data Movement

    • Data Stewardship

    • Data Protection

    • Data Sharing

  • Identify, analyze, and diagnose data quality issues, perform detailed root-cause analysis, and drive remediation in response to audit or regulatory findings.

  • Develop deep understanding of enterprise data policies and serve as a policy subject matter expert for business units.

  • Provide education and guidance to teams regarding policy requirements and implications.

  • Monitor platform-level data quality, including critical data elements, dashboards, and automated controls.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers to ensure new initiatives align with data governance standards and policies.

  • Contribute to strategic improvements in data assessment methodologies, processes, and analytical tooling.

  • Communicate data quality issues effectively and drive issue resolution through cross-functional coordination.

  • Support regulatory reporting across multiple platforms, partnering with upstream data providers and downstream business users.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple enterprise data platforms.

  • Work with the Data Steward Manager to build and manage the data compliance roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.
