JOB DESCRIPTION:

Overall, Purpose of the Role:

  • Drive business forecast and analysis for channel-specific initiatives to meet or exceed North America stores sales and profitability targets.

Areas of Responsibility:

Planning & Trading:

  • With the Senior Commercial Manager, responsible for planning and delivering the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the E-commerce, Brick and Mortar and Amazon businesses, working with all key stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks while capitalizing on emerging opportunities to drive sustained growth.
  • Work directly with the planning team and marketing teams along with Senior Manager, Commercial to understand product and go to market strategies to build key performance indicators (KPIs) plans for all business channels.
  • Responsible for analysis of past performance to deliver effective plans to drive and Commercial the KPIs and deliver the required sales and margin targets.
  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager to produce the quarterly playbook in-line with the critical path business calendar.
  • Be innovative in planning and driving all in-season online promotional activity, maximizing sales, margin and all other KPIs, including promotional mechanics and onsite execution. Forecast and scenario plan using predictive analysis to determine impact on PL.
  • Provide key data insight on franchise, category and markets for planning products and KPIs
  • Work with the digital marketing teams to build the Commercial plans, and shift in season in response to Commercial, commercial promotions that deliver the required sales, margin and traffic targets.
  • Alongside the Merchandising teams, ensure weekly product launches deliver required sales for the business. Understand business phasing and impact of launch and marketing changes.
  • Responsible for all business forecasts issued to the marketing, guest service and distribution centers (demand units) to allow them to produce accurate staffing, spend and adjust in-season plans
  • Work with the Distribution Center leadership to ensure targets are agreed and resourced appropriately.
  • Advise and help build daily Forecasts for e-commerce, brick and mortar stores and marketplaces for sales, margin and KPIs.

Projects/Other:

  • Drive revenue and margin delivery and customer experience strategy for each of the business channels.
  • Support and lead other ad hoc projects as required.

  • Accountable to the Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Manager.
  • Accountable for mutually agreeing online KPIs with key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for delivering a commercial range against set KPIs and managing department budget as defined.
  • Accountable for working with the planning team on promotional and mark-down activity.
  • Accountable for being fully aware of current business priorities and how these may affect department plans.
  • Accountable for managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to achieve individual and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Merchandiser within an e-commerce retailer, beneficial.
  • Experience operating within e-commerce, essential.
  • Retail business acumen, essential.
  • Proven experience of building effective relationships and collaboration across departments and other divisions to achieve financial targets and joint goals.
  • Proven experience of managing and developing the performance of a team.

Required Skills:

  • Computer literate in MS office package with advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional planning and organization skills.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to achieve buy-in at all levels.
  • Analytical, historic and predictive, commercial and strategic approach.
  • Business Intelligence tools experience desired.
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability building effective relationships and developing the performance of team members.

Required Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
