We are seeking a Business/Data Analyst to join our data sourcing and analytics team. In this role, you'll help define and document data requirements, validate and test data, and support a strategic data warehouse environment. You'll work closely with business and technology teams to ensure data accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to review and validate data requirements and specifications

  • Analyze and compare data across multiple sources to identify issues and ensure data integrity

  • Use tools like SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

  • Document processes, testing results, and meeting notes for consistency and transparency

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Map source system attributes to target data models and support transformation logic

  • Develop insights using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Identify opportunities to enhance data monitoring and overall data quality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • 5 7+ years' experience as a Business or Data Analyst in Banking or Financial Services

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with financial products (e.g., Derivatives, Repo, Bonds, Loans, Deposits, GL, Regulatory Reporting)

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical tools (Excel, SPSS, SAS)

  • Understanding of database design and data warehouse concepts (Snowflake experience a plus)

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello)

  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools
