Role
The Senior Pipe Stress Engineer plays a critical role in advancing Eastman's commitment to safe, cost-effective piping designs. This position ensures the integrity and efficiency of piping systems through expert analysis, innovative solutions, and collaborative teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Conduct pipe stress analysis to ensure the safety of pipes, supports, and connections under all credible operating conditions.
Propose optimized piping designs to address identified deficiencies.
Specify and select specialized components, including springs, expansion joints, and slide plates, to enhance system performance.
Apply knowledge of piping inspection techniques to support design and maintenance activities.
Prepare detailed reports and deliverables in accordance with departmental standards.
Share industry advancements to elevate Eastman's piping engineering and design practices.
Contribute to team growth through mentoring, training, and participation in peer reviews.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Support occasional travel and off-hours work as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, ABET Preferred
10+ years of piping engineering experience, with expertise in pipe stress analysis.
In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3 piping code and best engineering practices.
Advanced proficiency in Caesar II and Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn tools such as Paulin Research Group, MicroStation, and Navisworks.
Capable of maneuvering safely within chemical plant setting
Proficient in collaborating with both technical experts and business teams
Highly organized, collaborative, and adept at managing multiple priorities.

TN or TX PE License
Degree in Mechanical engineering
Piping Design experience
