Description
We are looking for a skilled Webmaster to oversee the transition of our company's website to Wix, ensuring seamless functionality and optimized design. This Contract position is based in Culver City, California, and requires expertise in web development with a focus on content organization and technical problem-solving. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing the site's usability and training team members for future updates.
Responsibilities:
Lead the migration of the company website to the Wix platform, ensuring all assets are properly integrated.
Consolidate multimedia content such as videos, animations, and editorial materials into the new website structure.
Optimize drag-and-drop tools for ease of use and improve the overall functionality of the site.
Collaborate with account managers to provide training on maintaining and updating the platform after development.
Host reel content on Vimeo and integrate it into splash pages designed for showcasing creative assets.
Organize and upload static assets, including campaigns and TV spots, ensuring proper tagging and categorization.
Address backend setup tasks, including tagging, editorial content management, and resolving technical challenges.
Explore and propose alternative platforms if Wix does not meet the company's functional requirements.
Ensure the website is streamlined for user-friendly content management and technical efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues impacting site functionality during and after the transition.
Requirements
Proven experience working with Wix and proficiency in web development.
Strong ability to manage multimedia content, including video and static assets.
Familiarity with backend setup processes such as tagging and organizational workflows.
Experience in training team members on platform maintenance and updates.
Knowledge of integrating Vimeo-hosted content into web pages.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical issues and optimize functionality.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills to ensure assets are accurately categorized and managed.
